My life’s work has kept me busy as a biology teacher, but I was always yearning to break away and fulfill my dream of expanding my true love of painting.   After 33 years of teaching in central Indiana, I am finally realizing my dream.   I find contentment in watercolor.   I have a love affair with portrait and figure.  I explore the play of light on the faces of poised, confident people.  I strive to give a fleeting glimpse of the subject allowing the flow of paint to dictate the direction of the composition.
